In a global and European scale world, information is increasingly complex but nevertheless essential for young people.
From 1985, everywhere in Europe, those in charge of youth policy and the directors of youth resource networks have made access to information a priority. The right to information is also stipulated by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Convention on Children's Rights, the European Human Rights Convention and by recommendation N°R (90) 7 from the Council of Europe.
We therefore felt that it was important to devote a chapter to this theme. We have only mentioned the two main European information networks ERYICA and EURODESK, as between the two of them, they regroup most national youth centres, which we have also listed.
