Brief History of Organization
 

Girl Guiding followed on from the foundation of Boy Scouting in 1908 when a group of girls decided to become ‘Girl Scouts’ and were noticed by the Founder of the Boy Scouts, Robert Baden-Powell.  His sister Agnes, and then later his wife, Olave, developed the Movement for girls and young women which very quickly spread from the UK across the world.
